Shelda has led a number of significant projects, including:
- Advancing learning and teaching in higher education. This HERDSA / Office of Learning and Teaching project incorporates a review of Australian learning and teaching outcomes for the last five years; the development of a new online journal; micro-grants to support new areas of research and a senior leadership forum.
- Professional Skills for Research Leaders. An international project that focuses on supporting the development of academic research skills through the development of a high quality online program. Shelda has filled the role of Lead Adviser, working in collaboration with Epigeum and university stakeholders, and with a team of international experts.
- Future Research Leaders Program. The Group of Eight universities developed a collaborative blended learning program to support research project management. The program has been adopted by a number of universities. Shelda guided the development and management of the program from inception to full implementation.
- Enhancing finance and resource management capabilities in UWA’s leaders and managers. The project focused on the development of financial role statements and learning resources; design of a supervisor / manager orientation and induction programme and leadership programmes for mid-level managers. It included a pre and post evaluation of learning transfer and leadership practice.
She is highly experienced in complex project management, stakeholder engagement and team management.
